January Tag Tests!

Yesterday we did our second tag test with the students at Memuro. The students all did so well as we covered how to position their hands in Kamae, back falls with a slap and walking in shikko. We also did the Waza - Shomen Uchi Shome Iriminage 1.

All students passed! most of the students are not almost onto their first colored belt, hopefully we will have some red belts in April.

I also awarded the star to Shoutaro as he has worked really hard over the last few months and I have especially noticed how focussed he has been this month. He sometimes stuggles with the techniques and working with partners who are bigger than he is, but he always has a smile and responds with a big voice. Unfortunately he is taking a break from training, but he might return in the spring.

Next is the adult grading for 8th Kyu. We have not had all the adults at training together for a few weeks, so it was good to have them all there today. We did a test practice and will do actual test next month now they all know all the things they need to do - especially the new Ukemi - Kouhou Kaiten Ukemi!!
